Brisbane Truck Show 2019 Wrap Up

Australia's Premier Truck Show, the Brisbane Truck Show has come and gone. To simply say that the organisers, the Heavy Vehicle Industry Association (HVIA), put on an amazing show, would be total understatement. The guys at the HVIA should be praised for such a professional and quality event.

As exhibitors, we get to see a lot of the behind the scenes operations. When you see massive pieces of machinery and equipment filling up the exhibition centre you quickly appreciate the enormous effort put in by so many people.

I spoke to many people over the 4 days of the show. Some think the Brisbane CBD location is perfect for the event. Some feel it would be better back out at the Royal National Association Showgrounds where it was last held in 2009. The main reasoning being that it would be more accessible to more people.

NXT Journey has been fortunate to sponsor the event in 2017 and again this year by supplying Truckie Bags as prizes for different events held during the show. We are particularly privileged to provide prizes for the Apprentice Challenge that was ultimately taken out by Southern Region this year.

My personal opinion is that the CBD Exhibition location portrays the Australian Transport Industry in the best light possible. As an industry we want to be seen as professional and world class. The Brisbane Exhibition Centre does that perfectly. The CBD location allows the industry to shine in front of people that would not normally be associated with transport. Not only was the CBD buzzing with everything trucking during the four days of the show, but the whole week in the lead up. That can only be seen as a positive for the industry.

I would personally like to thank everyone that called past our stand at the show. It is very rewarding for us to have people come up to us and say they have one of our original bags that they love.

We are going into production near the end of June. If there are any companies that would like bags organised for your team or clients, please get in touch as soon as possible. You can call us on 1300 845 771 or email info@nxtjourney.com.au
